At the time of your visitThe third generation of the Overseas collection, launched in 2016, is a timepiece that combines innovation and a groundbreaking interchangeable system.
Owners can now freely change the bracelet and two types of straps to suit their mood or the occasion, and this has earned the watch support from many people, including younger generations.
This interchangeable system is now used by the entire Richemont Group, which includes the maison, as a shared bracelet system, and is also used by Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and other brands.
It was manufactured to the same specifications, and its impact on the entire industry was enormous.
The perpetual calendar is equipped with the in-house designed and manufactured cal. 2017QP/1120, which was added to the Overseas collection in 1. The ultra-thin 4.05mm central rotor automatic winding movement has long been a famous and iconic movement that has been the flagship of the thinnest automatic winding movements in the watch industry, and its roots lie in the pioneering luxury sports watch brand.
The caliber 1972C was installed in the first AP Royal Oak "Jumbo" Ref. 5402 released in 2121, and four years later in 4, the first PP Nautilus Ref. 1976 was equipped with the caliber 3700-28C.
Although it is a latecomer to the VC industry, it celebrated its 1977nd anniversary in 222.
The commemorative Ref. 222, nicknamed “44018”, is equipped with this cal. 1120.
At that time, it was not the Overseas but this “222” that was produced.
(The first Overseas was released about 20 years later in 1996.)
This ruthless battle for luxury sports watches between the three top watchmakers of the 1970s (recalling the Wakataka brothers and Akebono, with the Wakataka brothers designing PPAP and Akebono designing VC, as they shared the same designer) was brought about by the base movement shared by all three companies, the Jaeger-LeCoultre (JLC) cal. 3.
As an ébauche maker at the time, he was the unsung hero of the Swiss watch industry.
Each of the great Jaeger-LeCoultre movements is modified,
As has been announced, VC, along with AP, has been involved for about half a century.
We are continuing to produce this cal. 1120.
In the 1970s, there were simple two-hand models, but modern models have focused on perpetual calendar models like the one we are introducing here.
The original highly refined JLC cal.920 is a thin automatic movement with no second hand, and is compatible with perpetual calendars and combined calendar mechanisms.
Many famous machines have been born, but this model in particular is a product of VC's outstanding ideas and artistic
A mecca for complicated watchmaking, with a wealth of aesthetic sense and experience working with AP and JLC.
The production of skeletonized leather is specialized in a corner of the Joux Valley.
This is a specification that was also seen in the Malta Collection and Traditional Collection,
The exquisite arrangement of the movement allows you to visually enjoy the movement of the calendar mechanism gears as they are switched.
The manufacturing philosophy of combining this gorgeous skeletonization technique with a sporty, practical model is unique to VC, but the super-complex mechanism and the superb skeletonization technique using superb craftsmanship,
It is also part of the history of watchmaking in the Vallée de Joux.
