Founded in 1846 by Ulysse Nardin in Le Locle, Switzerland.
In 1876, the company was taken over by the second generation, Paul-David Nardin.
The company has dedicated itself to researching high-precision marine chronometers, and over the course of approximately 100 years, its watches have been adopted as official naval watches by more than 50 countries.
The 1878 Paris World's Fair, the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, and the 1906 Milan World's Fair
Won a gold medal in the marine chronometer category.
In 1923, it won the Grand Prix at the International Chronometer Competition held at the Neuchâtel Observatory.
The company has a track record of winning over 4300 awards.
In 1904, the company's marine chronometers were also supplied to the Japanese Navy, and were installed on the battleship Mikasa during the Russo-Japanese War.
Rolf Schnieder and Dr. Ludwig Oechslin, who became owners in 1983, went on to create numerous masterpieces.
A representative example is "Freak" released in 2001.
