Ref.5565A-001 CALATRAVA Geneve Btq Ltd 300pcs In 2020, to celebrate the completion of the new workshop, the stainless steel Calatrava Ref. 6007A-001 was released as a limited edition of 1000 pieces, which caused a stir. Patek Philippe releases limited edition models at important milestones, which are highly valued due to their difficulty in obtaining them. The Ref. 5565A-001 we are introducing today is a stainless steel Calatrava that was released to celebrate the completion of Patek Philippe's Geneva Salon in 2006. The design is based on the Ref. 565, one of the most popular vintage Patek Philippe models. Manufactured from the late 1930s to the 1950s, it had a large case size of 35 mm for the time, no bezel, and a two-piece case with a screw-back case and bezel integrated into the case. This is a distinctive Calatrava with a mushroom-shaped crown. This model follows a design from past archives and, as a commemorative model, has the exterior of the Geneva Salon engraved on the back cover, making it an extremely valuable piece. This piece is limited to only 300 pieces, so there are very few of them produced, and even now, more than 10 years after its release, it is rarely seen on the second hand market. |
