This model was released in 2016. It is arguably the greatest modern model that clearly embodies Audemars Piguet's philosophy of "innovation" and "boldness."
The skeletonized design, which has almost completely eliminated the dial, follows on from the previous model, the 15307, but is equipped with an evolved and refined "double balance wheel" mechanism. However, unlike the numerous precision correction mechanisms other than tourbillons, such as a remontoire, constant force, or fusée-and-chain escapement or additional device that stabilizes power transmission, this patented "dual balance" is reminiscent of the famous Resonance mechanism, which synchronizes the FP Journe's famous regulating mechanism (balance wheel) by resonating it. By arranging it on the same axis, the movement as a whole is well-balanced, and when combined with the flagship sports model, the Royal Oak, the exquisite craftsmanship on display, along with the exterior decoration, is truly impressive.
This reminds us that Audemars Piguet, a Grand Maison that is able to produce such models as regular products rather than limited editions, is a leader in the Vallée de Joux and that the company's future is secure.
