Tank Louis Cartier White Gold
The Tank collection was born in 1917 and was an invention not only for Cartier but also for the watch world.
It was commercialized in 1919, and at that time, Louis Cartier, who strongly desired peace in the world immediately after World War I, made a strong impact by using the tank, which was a symbol of war, as a motif.
This design has been followed to the present day and has become an unchanging, super long-selling collection, including derivative models.
The "Tank Louis Cartier" we are introducing is an antique made around 1970, about half a century ago.
At the time of manufacture, Cartier did not use the large-market mass production system that we have today, but rather small-scale production based on orders as true luxury items for the upper class of royalty and aristocrats. I was doing it.
The dial still says "PARIS" instead of the current "SWISS MADE".
This is an extremely valuable specification. The material is K18 white gold, and about half a century ago, yellow gold was the mainstream when it came to K18 materials, and the production of white gold itself was less than 10/XNUMXth, which was extremely small and the distribution amount was limited.
The Roman index and railway scale on the dial, the blued steel sword-shaped long and short hands fired in a kiln of over 300 degrees, and the sapphire cabochon crown are still the same as they are today, and the craftsmanship of Cartier's representative design has been around for about half a century. This is a masterpiece that allows you to once again feel the romance of Cartier's great history and enjoy the unwavering quality of its technology.
